Mulberry Silk Sheets: A Practical Buying Guide
Silk sheets are a bigger investment than a pillowcase, so the specification and care routine deserve more attention. Use this checklist before you buy.
Start with the fibre
Confirm the product is actually made from the silk fibre you want. 'Silky' or 'satin' language alone does not establish fibre composition.
Momme matters
Higher momme generally means more fabric weight. For sheets, that can influence feel, drape and price. It is one useful specification, but not the only one.
Set contents
Check exactly what is included: fitted sheet, flat sheet, pillowcases and sizes. Do not assume every 'sheet set' contains the same pieces.
Care and washing
Follow the manufacturer's care instructions. Gentle washing and appropriate drying are especially important for expensive natural-fibre bedding.
Promeed's range
Promeed currently lists 23mm 6A+ fitted and flat sheet sets and other silk bedding. Its broader range makes it a useful starting point for shoppers comparing a whole-bed setup.
