If you specifically want silk, look for an explicit silk fibre description rather than relying on the word “satin.” Satin describes a weave and can be made from polyester or other fibres. Mulberry silk is common in premium pillowcases, but the finished construction still matters.

Momme is useful, not magical

Momme is a fabric-weight measure commonly used for silk. Higher weights tend to feel denser and use more silk by weight. That can affect hand feel, opacity, durability and price, but it is not a universal score that makes every higher-momme case the better buy.

Small details become daily details

Check the closure, seam placement and finished size. A zipper can help keep the pillow inside; an envelope closure avoids a zipper entirely. Neither is automatically superior. The better option is the one you will find comfortable and easy to use.
