Silk Pillowcases for Hot Sleepers
If you sleep hot, a pillowcase is only one part of the equation. Fabric, room temperature, mattress, duvet fill and bedding layers all affect how warm you feel.
Why silk can appeal to hot sleepers
Silk is often chosen for its smooth, lightweight feel and breathable character. But no fabric can override an overly warm room or heavy bedding system.
Do not automatically choose the heaviest silk
A higher momme can create a denser, more substantial textile. If your priority is a lighter feel, compare 19–23 momme options before assuming 30 momme is the better choice.
Look at the whole bed
A breathable pillowcase paired with a heavy, heat-trapping duvet may not solve the problem. Consider sheets, duvet fill, mattress protector and room temperature together.
Promeed's cooling range
Promeed currently markets a CoolRest line with cooling positioning, including a cooling comforter. Treat those as product claims to evaluate rather than guarantees of a particular sleep temperature.
Best starting strategy
If you are new to silk, start with the pillowcase because it is a relatively small change. If that works for you, consider expanding to sheets or other layers.
